Sixela combines blues guitar aesthetics with intricate, world music-influenced grooves.

Drawing from his experiences collaborating and touring with local musicians in southern Africa and blending them with blues and rock influences of the 1960s and 70s - like B.B. King and Pink Floyd - Swiss producer and guitarist Sixela puts his lyrical and expressive guitar center stage, wrapped in energetic rhythms. Beginning his musical journey in an intimate and introverted space playing guitar alone as a form of expression during difficult times, Sixela opened up and evolved into a dynamic artist. Inspired by Brazilian virtuoso Munir Hossn and groove innovator Nik Bärtsch of Ronin, he strikes a balance between soulful reflection and infectuous grooves. As Sixela shares his music with audiences, each note he plays serves as a testament to music’s ability to heal, resolve and transform.
